Royal Australian Air Force Bombardier Challenger CL-604 A37-003

Acquired in 2002 under a long-term lease arrangement to join two Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) for the purpose of modernising "the-then" aged VIP fleet, three Bombardier Challenger CL-604's are operated by the Royal Australian Air Force's No 34 Squadron which is based at Defence Establishment Fairbairn in Canberra.

According to the official Royal Australian Air Force website, the Challenger CL-604 is a derivative of the Challenger 600 which has been progressively updated to improve range, performance and reliability and fitted with a high-tech wing, high bypass CF34-3B engines and a Rockwell Collins ProLine 4 ‘glass cockpit’.

Additionally, the aircraft are crewed by three personnel consisting of a pilot, co-pilot & an attendant and configured to accommodate upto nine passengers.
